Sadly I couldn't get the sizing right

I am generally a size 14 and 5'6. Ordered the 2XL which was so snug (given it's listed as 14-16 sizing). Reordered in the 3XL but it was far too big around the waist & very tight around the hips? I think maybe a style best suited for a straighter figure than a curvy body. Sadly returned both times.

Gorgeous Fabric

Love Montaigne & love this skirt - fits like a dream & is the perfect length to wear with boots in winter - very happy with my purchase!

Beautiful skirt but I struggle with sizing.

This is the third skirt I’ve purchased from Montaigne and, as with the others, the sizing runs quite large despite following the sizing guide. I’ve had all three skirts professionally taken in, which is particularly tricky with a tartan print. That said, I loved them far too much to send them back.

The quality is exquisite and the fabric is incredibly soft, which is why I keep coming back.

For reference, my waist measures 73 cm and I purchased the Medium (listed around 74 cm), but I still needed about 5 cm taken in at the waist. Many reviews suggest sizing up, but based on my experience I would actually recommend sizing down.

What can I say…….I’m in love!! The look, the fit, the feel - it’s all exquisite. This skirt has become my new favourite wardrobe staple. As suggested on the website, I did have to size up for this one - but she’s beautiful and I thank the Montaigne team for their great work :) xx
